Sophie is one of Grandpa's cats. Mercer has liked Sophie from the very beginning. Ever since he could run, Mercer would endlessly chase Sophie around Grandpa's house. They don't do that as much anymore, but Mercer still gets excited every time he sees her. She's a quiet, shy cat who loves having her tail pulled.

Mercer's room at Grandpa's house is a cat free zone; but yesterday after Mercer left the door was left open, Sophie snuck in and spent the rest of the day in Mercer's bed.
