A Visit From Jon and Meredith, August 2009

Mercer recovered from his fever just in time for Jon and Meredith to visit. After a pizza lunch (where Mercer tried to show off by splashing juice everywhere), we headed north to the Croton Gorge Dam, one of Mercer's favorite spots. We watched Mercer run and jump everywhere and took in the gorgeous view. There was a playground at the park, but Mercer has certainly seen better. At least Jon got in on the fun. I think Mercer has a new best friend!

dam! mercer visits croton gorge.

we've taken mercer to the croton gorge dam a couple of times, but never when he was as aware of his surroundings as he is now. mercer is obsessed with water, so naturally, mercer loves this park. it's a gorgeous place and peaceful in early spring when no one is around. luckily, mom had her blackberry on hand to take some shots of mercer in action.
