NMR: Dad goes to Washington D.C.

Dad met up with fellow Phillies fans Brian, Jeff, and Scott this weekend in Washington D.C. to support the team against the Nationals. Apparently, 40,000 other Phillies fans thought this was a good idea too and turned the ho-hum Nationals Park into Citizens Bank South. Roy Oswalt and the rest of the Fightins' had a good night, winning 5-0, thanks to good defense and scoring runs playing both small and long ball.

Pop took the train from New York down to D.C. This is a corridor just outside Union Station in Washington. Gorgeous station.

The view of the Capitol building from New Jersey Avenue.

Cole Hamels and Roy Halladay keep their distance from Kyle Kendrick during batting practice.

If Abraham Lincoln were alive today, he most certainly wouldn't be a Nationals fan.

Housing development and a sewage plant surrounding the stadium.

Phillies fans line up to see their heroes.

It was a great night for a Phillies win.
