Snow play at Grandpa's

The pristine snow powder in Grandpa's backyard was ripe for a pre-Christmas toddler romp.

Mercer ventures into the deep, sugary snow.

Snow monster!

The only way to snow travel.

Happy Holidays.

We were lucky enough to capture the first ornaments Mercer ever hung on a tree. Enjoy and happy holidays.

Abstract Christmas Tree Decorating

We gave Mercer the camera to take some shots while we decorated the tree a few weeks back.

Snowy Sunday

We got our first real snowstorm of the winter last night (though it was far from The Biggest Storm Our Earth Has Ever Seen, as the media was portraying it) and Mercer helped Daddy clean off the car this morning. The snow wasn't great for snowball making, either, but Mercer gave it his best shot. We also got a chance to try out Mercer's new Spider Man snow boots.

Yours, Mines, & Ours

Mercer has gotten himself into the habit of saying "That's mines" with an -s on the end to make it possessive. It kind of makes sense when you think of all the other possessives he hears:

"That's yours," "that's ours," "That's Mercers'" and so on. It took awhile for us to really hear him saying it; we couldn't figure out if he was just salivating or acting like a snake. We've been correcting him and then he replies with:

"That's mine...YEEESSSS."

Decorating Grandpa's Christmas Tree

Mercer, Mom, and Dad visited Grandpa this weekend to help decorate his tree. Before that, though, Mercer helped Mommy bake a few cookies.

Brushing off the Volvo

We recently had our first snow here in lower New York. Mercer took the opportunity to brush the snow off of our newly-acquired 1991 Volvo. The snow was mostly melted by the time we got outside the next morning, but Mercer insisted on helping.
