It was a busy Easter weekend for Mercer and company. We traveled down to New Jersey to...

...rock the Tuscan House Restaurant in Toms River:

...hit the trampoline at MeMa and PaPa's house:

...sport a Batman cape:

...imitate a vampire with green teeth:

...dye eggs with Mommy, MeMa, and Hanna:

...feed ducks at Hanna's house on Easter Sunday:

...fly a Transformer kite (sometimes on Daddy's shoulders):

On the way back home, Pop stopped at a scenic overlook off the Palisades Parkway. Mercer wasn't there, but he won't want to miss this the next time we travel. Boats, water, buildings, trees, bridges, sky, sticks....everything he loves.

Semi-Mercer related: Red Bull Arena

Pop and a few of his friends stumbled into Harrison, NJ this past weekend to take in the official opening of Red Bull Arena: New Jersey's cathedral of soccer. It's been a long time coming for the area and while it's a disgrace that the local team is basically a marketing tool for the Red Bull corporation, they got the job done in erecting an amazing stadium in the industrial wasteland that is Harrison, NJ. Pop hopes that Mercer will enjoy trips to the stadium for many years to come - assuming he likes soccer, that is.

Getting ready for opening day

What better way to ring in the start of a new baseball season than by wearing Daddy's old baseball hat and eating ice cream?

Mercer loves ice cream. Txt test! Lol!

At the movies

We took Mercer to see his first movie in the theater this weekend: How To Train Your Dragon. Overall, it was a good experience. The 30 minutes of previews made everyone restless, but Mercer had his popcorn, fruit snacks, and ice drink to keep himself occupied. The movie was fun and exciting and we think Mercer had a good time. We thought he'd be more impressed at the size of the movie screen, but he acted as if he knew something like this existed all along. It was hard to take pictures in the dark, but the photo booth in the lobby more than made up for it afterward.

I love this guy.

Last weekend was so gorgeous we couldn't waste it sitting inside. We took to one of our new favorite riverside parks for stick-dragging, dog-petting, stone-throwing, and other general hijinx.
