First snow of the season

It's still only Autumn, but we received our first big snowstorm yesterday. It snowed from late morning through the night and of course, Mercer wanted to play in it. It started out as harmless flakes, but then turned into a giant, heavy, slushy mess. Once we started hearing the pops of nearby tree branches, however, we thought it best to go inside. We surveyed the damage this morning: limbs, branches, wires everywhere.

Mercer learns how to use the camera on Mommy's phone

Mercer figured out how to take pictures of himself on Mom's phone. He took advantage, though, and as the last two images show, Mommy had to intervene.

Pumpkin picking with Hanna

Mercer went pumpkin picking last weekend with Hanna, Mom, Pop, Grandpa, MeMa, and PaPa. Emery's Berry Farm had a nice looking spread of pumpkins complete with a corn maze and hayride. Mercer didn't want any part of the corn maze, but we went on a hayride and got some treats at the country store afterward.

Once we got back home to New York, Mommy carved Mercer's pumpkin nicely.
