Mom, Mom, Mommy, Mom, Mommy? MOMMY!

Mercer has been mixing in plain old "Mom"'s with his Mommy's lately, and it just sounds funny. Pop will call him on it and ask "What did you say? Is that Mom?" Mercer replies, "No, that's Mommy!"

In unrelated news, Mercer is a goose, Mommy is a goose, and Daddy is a pig.

Mercer also answers the phone now, which, for anyone on the calling end is ridiculously annoying unless it's one of the parents.

Snow slide

After building the snow man, Mercer created a makeshift snow slide near the street. Not at all safe, but fun. (Those are giggles, not crying.)

Snow storm!

Mercer & Co. took advantage of the massive snow storm this past Wednesday to build an icy snowman.

At the aquarium

A few weekends ago we went to the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, CT. It was the weekend of a big winter storm, but nothing came for New England. We decided to see how Mercer would like seals and fish. He's been to the aquarium before, but we thought he'd be old enough now to start to appreciate it more. We were half right.

Mercer liked building his own toy boat, watching sea turtles and sting rays, and touching the small crabs and seashells. After all the marine life fun, we had lunch at a nearby Thai restaurant where Mercer ate rice noodles and Edamame.

Get me daddy

Mercer has a new favorite game called "get me daddy.". It's exactly what it sounds like.

Mercer loved listening to this iPod. I think he was enjoying some Kings of Leon, but then he found a Backyardigans song he wanted over and over.
